Queerty: If you’re like us, you lapped up last night’s So You Think You Can Dance season premiere.

Obviously we don’t have any favorites yet, but this popper – Robert Muraine – absolutely blew us away. But, yes, we agree with Mia Michaels – Muraine may not be of this world.

Speaking of out of this world – what about that guy who danced in his underwear? What a mess!

Gawker: Weezer’s new music video features web stars like Chris Crocker, “Evolution of Dance” guy, Gary Brolsma from “Numa Numa,” and Afroninja (who it turns out is a very good stuntman except for that ). And they actually do stuff! In most meme-collecting videos, everyone just shows up; in Weezer’s each web meme character is redeemed. The Diet Coke and Mentos guys get to rock out. Afroninja shows that despite that one famous screw-up, he really can kick ass. Chris Crocker is comforted. The narrative and the sheer number of web fads make this the best of its genre.

NewScientistSpace: New spots on Jupiter’s surface suggest its going through a bit of its own climate change.

People: Robert “Mutt” Lange left Shania Twain for THIS?

AP: With a strong finishing kick from American Idol, Fox captured the distinction of America’s most popular television network for the first time since it began operation in 1987.

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann issued another of his infamous special comments tonight to rip Hillary Clinton a new one, saying that implying political assassination in any conversation relative to the nominating process is unforgivable.

An interesting video posted last year of blogger Max Blumenthal‘s visit to the Christians United For Israel’s Washington-Israel Summit. Fascinating stuff. CUFI was founded by Texas mega-church paster (and now former McCain supporter) John Hagee.

ABC News: The executive jet being used by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was just minutes away from being shot down by the Israeli Air Force.

Blair, who is now the international community’s special envoy to the Middle East, was traveling earlier this week to a special economic conference in the Palestinian city of Bethlehem from Egyptian airspace when two Israeli fighter jets were scrambled to intercept his plane.

Due to a technical fault in Blair’s aircraft, its pilot did not respond to Israeli air traffic controllers’ calls, leading to suspicions that the jet may have been on a terrorist mission.

The two Israeli planes flew directly above the Blair plane in a position usually taken before attack.

AMERICAblog: So, to clarify AP’s headline “McCain appears cancer free, healthy” – they really meant “this month.”

Nice. From AP:

McCain’s most recent exams show a range of health issues common in aging: He frequently has precancerous skin lesions removed, and in February had an early stage squamous cell carcinoma, an easily cured skin cancer, removed. He had benign colon growths called polyps taken out during a routine colonoscopy in March.

McCain isn’t cancer-free if he had cancer 3 months ago. What a ridiculously sloppy AP headline, and now this will be the story – McCain is cured! (Except that he had cancer as recently as 3 months ago – hey, maybe Pastor Parsley healed him?) Anybody else troubled that candidate McCain was running for the GOP nomination, went for cancer surgery, and didn’t bother telling anyone? What else isn’t he bothering to tell us, and won’t he tell us in the future? If this is McCain’s standard for disclosure about his medical condition, we’d need weekly document dumps of his medical files because McCain clearly has a policy of hiding his true medical condition while running for president.

Senate Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) told The Hill that Arthur Culvahouse, who was Reagan’s White House counsel from March 1987 to January 1989, will be helping McCain vet candidates and develop a list.

Alexander and Culvahouse have known each other for decades and both have connections to former Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker (R-Tenn.).

“It’s Arthur B. Culvahouse, that’s who’s heading the search,” Alexander said.

New York Post: Hillary Clinton today brought up the assassination of Sen. Robert Kennedy while defending her decision to stay in the race against Barack Obama.

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing calls to drop out.

AP: Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton quickly apologized Friday after citing the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as a reason to remain in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination despite increasingly long odds.

“I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever,” the former first lady said.

Queerty: Disgraced Floridian Republican lawmaker Bob Allen, who resigned last year after being found guilty of soliciting gay sex and offering a cop $20 to blow him, has filed an appeal to clear his now smeared name. “We’ve got to persevere because we were right,” said the righteous Allen.
